Brian Hutchinson, B.A., B.Ed., RHI
Brian Hutchinson is President and owner of Premises Priorities Management Limited - the company which owns and operates the Dartmouth/Sackville franchise of the highly successful Canadian home inspection company, Pillar To Post.
Brian has been operating this franchise for more than twelve years and has worked with many of the region’s home buyers and sellers to establish a high level of customer satisfaction.
He is a graduate of Dalhousie and St. Mary’s Universities and has continued his education and training in career related fields for many years. He is a life long resident of the Halifax Regional Municipality having spent his early years in Dartmouth and most of his adult life as a resident of Cole Harbour.
Brian first entered the real estate industry in 1978 as a mortgage officer for Royal Trust. From there, he joined Marcil Trust Company in Halifax as a commercial leasing agent. This subsequently led to activities in the field of real estate development with several companies (commercial and residential) which continued until he acquired the Pillar To Post franchise. Brian's training and experience as an inspector, his intimacy with local market conditions, his knowledge of the development and agency communities, his communications skills, and his predisposition to view the market from a technical perspective make him a valuable consultative resource.
He is a certified home inspector under the Pillar To Post training program and he is active in (and a founding member of) the Atlantic Chapter of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. He has also completed the requirements to earn the designation of Registered Home Inspector (RHI) with that organization. To date Brian has completed approximately 4,000 fee-paid home inspections.
Brian has served as a member and Chairman of the Canadian Franchisees' Advisory Council for Pillar To Post. He has also been active in a number of recreational pursuits over the years including running, karate, photography, music and drama.
